Major Backlash After Rooney Mara’s Cast as Tiger Lily in Peter Pan
In case you haven’t heard the news, Rooney Mara‘s been cast in the live-action edition of Peter Pan, and the public is FU-ming. While we’ve all witnessed the backlash that ensued after Quvenzhané Wallis was cast as Annie in the film reboot of the same name, and when Michael B. Jordan was cast as The Human Torch in the remake of Fantastic Four, those reactions have nothing on these:

Although hunks Hugh Jackman and Garrett Hedlund have taken on the roles of Blackbeard and Hook respectively, Rooney’s casting is trumping all else.
