Rihanna Shut Down Diplo’s Offer to Collaborate Multiple Times
Once again, Rihanna has proven that she officially gives ZERO you-know-whats. In a new interview with GQ magazine, popular DJ Diplo admitted that he’s been trying to get the singer to collaborate with him for a few years now, but she repeatedly turns him down with slightly savage burns.
The 38-year-old first played her “Lean On” in 2015, but she told him that she “doesn’t do house music,” which is slightly comical considering she’s been featured on multiple house music tracks over the years.
The EDM superstar then revealed that he had another music session with her, along with Future, The Weeknd and Metro Boomin (before anybody knew who he was), where she once again gave him a verbal slap.
“Future played her, like, 700 songs. It was four in the morning. Finally, I was like, ‘Yo, G, I’m leaving unless you let me play her a song,'” he explained. “So I played her a song. And she was like, ‘This sounds like a reggae song at an airport.’ I was like, ‘I’m gonna go kill myself.'”
Uhm, OUCH. But in true Rihanna fashion, she refused to apologize for sticking true to herself. When Diplo’s story made headlines this week, the 29-year-old screenshotted it and posted it to her own Instagram account. Not only did the headline prove that she very obviously dissed him in the past, but her caption made the entire thing even more funny…and savage.
Can’t blame a girl for knowing exactly what she wants… or doesn’t want in this case. Naturally, the Internet was totally here for her #domination, as tweets praising the singer quickly began rolling in:

But despite being publicly burned multiple times., Diplo still has hope that the duo will collaborate in the future — “I think before we’re all done, she’ll be on a song of Major Lazer’s. Hopefully. But if not, I don’t really care.”
