Burglar Breaks Into YouTube Star’s House While His Wife & Baby Were Inside
This is so scary. Lindsay Doty DeFranco, YouTube star and wife of Philip DeFranco, was home alone with her 2-year-old son last week when someone broke in. This situation would be scary no matter what, but the day the break-in happened was also the first night that her husband was publicly out of town.
“Thursday night, someone broke into our house while Trey and I were asleep,” she emotionally reveled in a recent vlog.
The 27-year-old YouTuber had just said goodbye to her friend, locked all the door, turned off all the lights, and went upstairs to bed when she heard the alarm “blaring.” Lindsay assumed the wind had blown open a door, so she went to turn the system off — that’s when she realized the lights that she turned off were on.
“I freak out, I grab our gun, I grab my taser, I grab Trey and we go into a room and we barricade it with a dresser and I call 911…they send eight cops, they send a helicopter…”
When the police officers finally gave Mrs. DeFranco the all-clear, she emerged to find out that the alarm seemingly scared the robber away because “they didn’t take anything [or] do anything.”
“It was really scary and it makes me so mad that somebody would do that. The timing is just too f*cking convenient because my friend had just left and I just turned out the lights and Phil was out of town.”
Luckily, the toddler slept through the entire incident so he isn’t aware of what happened.
Lindsay and Phil have since made some changes to their security system “so that it can’t happen again.”
We are SO happy the entire DeFranco fam is okay.
Like Lindsay and Philip, these couples met because of YouTube:
