Pharrell Williams Set to Replace Cee Lo Green on Season 7 of The Voice

By  |

Ladies and gentlemen, please say hello to your newest coach on The VoicePharrell Williams! On Monday, it was officially revealed that the "Happy" singer would be replacing Cee Lo Green for the popular NBC show's seventh season, and we have to say he's a perfect fit. Though Cee Lo will be missed, Pharrell is on FIRE right now, (he had a hand in THREE of 2013's biggest songs — "Get Lucky," "Blurred Lines," and the Oscar nominated "Happy") and can certainly bring a fun little something to the singing competition.

Can you imagine his interactions with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine?! We smell a three-way bromance coming on… Anyways, The Voice sent out this tweet confirming the exciting news. Check it out:

Pharrell seems pretty stoked about the news as well, adding to the tweet "This is going to be so fun," while fellow coach Adam tweeted, "Welcome to the circus dude!" Cee Lo announced his departure from the show back in February, and Christina Aguilera's future with the show seems somewhat uncertain now that she's currently expecting her second child.

However, don't expect to be strung along like another singing reality show tends to do (COUGH AMERICAN IDOL COUGH) as the full line up of judges is expected to be announced relatively soon.

The Voice's seventh season will debut in the fall. What do YOU think of this news? Do you think Pharrell will do a good job? Tell us in the comments!
