Pete Davidson’s Mom Thought He’d “Resort to Self-Harm” if Pariana Split

Pete Davidson knew he was going to marry Ariana Grande the day they met and Ari felt the same, but the Saturday Night Live star’s mom (understandably) took a little bit of time to get on board with the relationship.

Amy Davidson was reportedly “very nervous” when her son started dating the “God is a Woman” crooner because she felt he was “rushing into a relationship.”

“Pete’s mother was very nervous about his relationship with Ariana when they started dating,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She knows her son goes through manic episodes and thought he was rushing into a relationship and would wind up getting hurt.”

The 24-year-old’s mother allegedly feared that if Pariana broke up, her son would “become very, very depressed and resort to self-harm.”

Pete was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2016 and recently admitted he tried to kill himself when he was in elementary.

But while Amy was originally wary of the hot and heavy romance, she “has grown to love Ariana and can see how much she loves Pete.”

A family insider explains, “It has gotten better now that she knows Ariana better.”

Ariana says Pete is her “soulmate,” and while their relationship came out of seemingly nowhere, it’s clear that they’re SUPER in love and happy together.
