Pete Davidson’s Tattoo Artist Warned Him About Getting Ariana Grande Ink
Pete Davidson was serious AF about his relationship with Ariana Grande from the beginning, even before they got engaged. How do we know? Oh, just because he got TWO tattoos inspired by her within the first couple weeks of their relationship.
We know, we know — getting a tattoo for a significant other, especially one that you only just started dating, probably isn’t the best idea. In fact, the 24-year-old had to get a portrait of his ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David, covered up shortly after he started dating the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer, and tattoo artist Jon Mesa, co-owner of No Idols Tattoo Shop in New York City, warned him against getting any more ink for a S.O.
“I did a huge coverup [adding a forest of trees],” he told New York Post‘s Page Six. “After we were done, I told Pete, ‘Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Grande’s] your wife.”
Instead of taking his advice, the Saturday Night Live star decided to go to Los Angeles and get tattoos of Ariana’s initials on his thumb and her signature Dangerous Woman bunny-ear mask behind his ear.

The tattoo artist continued, “Relationships come and go, and Pete is a really young man. [But] I think that went in one ear and out the other.”
He did add that “it’s obvious that Pete is super in love with Ariana,” so hopefully he won’t regret the ink in the future.
