Demi Lovato’s Alleged OD Did Not Inspire Paris Jackson to Go to Rehab
Demi Lovato‘s alleged overdose caused the conversation about drug abuse and addiction, especially in Hollywood, to really pick up. Radar Online reported that when Paris Jackson heard about DL’s apparent OD, she took a good hard look at herself and her health and decided to seek help in a rehab facility.
“Demi almost died, and that was a big trigger for Paris to get healthy,” a source told the site.
But, according to the model herself, this report is totally false and she doesn’t need a celebrity’s near-death experience to remind her to stay healthy.

She added on Twitter, “Bruhh i already made a statement about this! i haven’t gone back to rehab, or to any clinic.. idk who decided to make this bullsh*t up for clickbait but it’s annoying! i don’t need a celebrity’s misfortune to make me healthy. i’ve had enough friends OD to send me that message!”
Paris went to a therapeutic school in Utah for her sophomore and junior years of high school following multiple suicide attempts. While there, she received treatment for drug abuse, anxiety and depression.
“It was great for me,” she told Rolling Stone. “I’m a completely different person. [Before I went] I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”
Demi’s family is reportedly “pushing” for her to check back into rehab, but “it’s too soon to say what the next steps are in terms of entering treatment” because she’s still in the hospital dealing with complications from the alleged overdose.
“She came down with a fever and showed signs of an infection,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. She will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery.”
