That’s So Raven Alum Orlando Brown Enters Rehab Following Intervention
It’s been a rough few years for Orlando Brown, but he’s finally getting the help he needs. The That’s So Raven alum checked himself into rehab for mental health and substance abuse issues following an intervention staged by his friends, TMZ reports.
According to the site, the 30-year-old actor’s friend, Danny Boy, the owner of the Las Vegas restaurant that Orlando broke into last month, recently contacted producers Wendy Wheaton and Tommy Red who have ties to various treatment facilities across the United States. The plan was to stage an intervention back in August, but the Disney Channel alum got arrested (again) for breaking into the restaurant.
Orlando went off the grid for a few weeks but resurfaced last Sunday when he and his manager got into an argument that was so intense that the cops had to be called. While OB didn’t get arrested, the incident was enough to once again spark pals’ efforts to get him the help he needs.
The Max Keeble’s Big Move star was first arrested for a DUI back in 2011 and his run-ins with the law didn’t stop there. Cops booked him again in February 2018 for possession of drugs and hitting his girlfriend in the parking lot of a police station. A family dispute led to yet another arrest in January 2018 and then he was taken in “on felony narcotics possession and misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest” just five months later.
We hope Orlando is able to use his time in rehab wisely and get the help he needs.
