10 Times One Direction Supported Each Other’s Solo Careers
We can’t believe it’s been almost two years since One Direction began its ~hiatus~. It has been a very long and lonely two years without the lads… but thankfully the boys having been living up to their promise of solo music. All four guys have released new music and Harry Styles and Niall Horan are even going to be on tour throughout next year!
As excited as we are about seeing each of them branch out, the more successful they become means the chances of them actually reuniting gets smaller and smaller.
Although we dream about all of 1D, including Zayn Malik, coming back together and singing “Story of My Life” on repeat, we know that it will just make us irrationally upset. Instead, we are going to focus our attention on all the awesome things that Harry, Niall, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have accomplished! Not only are half the guys proud dads now, which is honestly still weird to think about, but they have showed the world that they’re more than just boy band members.
From starring in one of the highest-grossing films of the year to doing a brave live performance just days after a loved one’s death, the guys are showing no signs of slowing down. To say that we are proud of them would be a huge understatement, but we may be more proud of how they have been able to stay friends and support one another from afar. We may not see them together as much anymore, but the boys don’t let that stop them from encouraging and promoting each other’s solo careers. We rounded up all the ‘aww’-worthy moments the guys tweeted out their support for their fellow bandmates, and now we can’t stop smiling! Look for yourself, but be warned that all you’ll want to do for the rest of the day is listen to their whole discography.

A far cry from all the times the 1D guys got into fights with each other, right?
Louis Tomlinson & Liam Payne
When the band first formed in 2010, Louis and Liam were not each other's biggest fans. In fact in their film This Is It during the behind-the-scenes clips they opened up about always getting on each other's nerves in the early days. "We used to be at each other's throats on The X factor. He took it so seriously," Louis explained. "We were two completely different characters. He was really loud and bubbly. There was one point where I literally wanted to whack him," Liam added.
Although the two guys eventually learned to get along, in 2015 they had another fight… reportedly. On stage, Liam pushed Louis and it quickly got blown out of proportion in the media. The boys both denied they were feuding, but Louis was pushed, so the fighting rumor wasn't totally insane.
