Matthew Morrison Invites One Direction to Guest-Star on Glee

With two One Direction songs already under its belt — “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Live While We’re Young” — Glee may be ready for a full-scale 1D stint. Matthew Morrison (a.k.a. Will Schuester) is making that idea quite clear.

In a recent interview, the 35-year-old actor suggests the notion of the British-Irish boy band joining the TV dramedy, “We have been so fortunate to have some great cameos, and to have One Direction on would be great for the show. They are not much older than high school age, so we could have them as students. And I am sure the younger female cast members wouldn’t object to their presence either.”

He adds, “Both my and Jane Lynch‘s dream cameo is Simon Cowell. So maybe the boys could bring their manager. It would make great TV seeing Sue Sylvester and Simon Cowell go head to head.” Not out of the realm of possibility considering Simon’s fellow X Factor judge, Demi Lovato, had a recurring spot of her own on the television series.
