You Can Thank Chloe Moretz for Ansel Elgort’s Part in November Criminals
Ansel Elgort‘s had quite the career. The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent, Baby Driver — such amazing projects, it’s hard to believe he’s only been in the Hollywood film game for four years. Like… his first movie was 2013’s Carrie remake!
And, believe it or not, it’s because of his first movie — or, rather, his first-movie co-star, Chloe Grace Moretz — that he snagged the part in his latest movie, November Criminals.
“Chloe and I did my first movie ever together; [it] was Carrie,” Ansel says in this exclusive featurette. “She’s a good actress and she’s fun to work with.”
According to the director & co-screenwriter of the flick, Sacha Gervasi, the 20-year-old actress is at least part of the reason that the 23-year-old actor was even cast in the project! He explains, “Chloe, absolutely, when Ansel’s name came up, she was like, ‘We have to cast Ansel Elgort.’ You know, so she was absolutely instrumental in getting the film made and also bringing all of the players together.”
November Criminals is available on Blu-ray and DVD on January 9. Until then, watch the clip above from the Special Features!
