Fifth Harmony Girl in Mourning After One of Her Friends is Tragically Murdered
At the end of November, Normani Kordei Hamilton shared her heartbreak with the world as she mourned the loss of someone very close to her. While details of the person’s passing were never revealed, the Fifth Harmony girl said she “never felt the impact of losing someone so dear to [her] heart.” Unfortunately, the 19-year-old girl is feeling that devastation once again, as her friend Jehlan Vaughn has tragically died.
The “Work From Home” first let Harmonizers know the sad news when she began retweeting people who were using the hashtag, #RIPJehlan. At first they were confused, but Mani eventually posted her own note about the boy’s sudden death.
I'll never get used to the feeling of losing my loved ones. I'll never understand why tragic things happen to good souls. #RIPJehlan WE U

According to Click 2 Houston, the Texas-based choreographer was murdered in his apartment on March 21. Police say that a man “forced his way” into the dancer’s home and killed him.
“Maybe he was in the wrong spot at the wrong time, maybe her ex came over there and shot him around this time in the morning,” Jehlan’s brother Kevin Edwards said. “It was like we don’t know anybody else, so we trying to figure out why he would even be shot period.”
The 20 year old’s mother, Elizabeth Vaughn, expressed her profound heartbreak on a GoFundMe page she set up in honor of her son.
“The worse [sic] possible thing could have happened to me and that’s me having to bury my child, my baby. Thank you for your help,” she wrote. The woman then continued, “I sincerely thank you all for your help. Please continue to pray for me and my family.”
We can’t even imagine the pain everyone who knew and loved Jehlan is dealing with right now. May he rest in peace.
