The Story of How Noah Centineo Got His Face Scar Will Terrify You
The whole Internet is currently obsessed with Noah Centineo. With his charm, how could you not be? But while you were perhaps distracted by his good looks, you might not have noticed one small imperfection. It turns out that the actor has a scar right below the side of his lip, and the story of how he got it is actually pretty scary.
The 22-year-old told Buzzfeed that he got attacked by a Mastiff dog when he was six years old! “He ripped a hole in my face, so you could see my teeth, my gums, and all the way through my tongue to the other side,” he said. “There was a massive, gaping hole.”
That sounds pretty traumatic for a six-year-old, but Noah didn’t blame the dog. He said, “The dog didn’t know what it was doing. I specifically remember him lunging, being pulled away from him and then looking back and seeing him cock his head like he didn’t really understand what happened. Some people were like, ‘Do you wanna put the dog down?’ I was crying, like, ‘No, he didn’t mean to do it!'”
Of course, Noah was sweet even as a little kid! And despite the attack, the To All the Boys star still loves his furry friends. In fact, he got a pup of his own just a few weeks after the incident!
He told BuzzFeed, “My parents got a dog for us — a black lab german shepherd rottweiler mix — named Mackenzie, six weeks after the accident. And then getting another dog, a bigger dog, after that was great. And now, the bigger the dog, the better.”
Even though Noah didn’t hold it against the Mastiff, we wouldn’t blame him for staying away from canines after that. But alas, he’s a true dog person at heart! Just one more reason to love him.
