Nina Dobrev Under Fire After Posing with Accused Abuser Johnny Depp
Oh no, Nina…
From the beginning, Nina Dobrev has been an avid supporter of the Time’s Up Movement. She wore black to the Golden Globes after-party, spoke up against “tolerating discrimination, harassment and abuse” on social media and proudly represented the cause with ‘badass feminist’ clothing:
Unfortunately, her latest picture is stirring up all sorts of controversy because it seemingly goes against EVERYTHING we previously mentioned:
Along with hairstylist Riawna Capri, the 29-year-old Vampire Diaries alum posed with Johnny Depp, who was accused of domestically abusing his now-ex-wife, Amber Heard. And yet, Nina still proudly displays the Time’s Up icon as her Twitter profile picture. So, naturally, the Internet is having a field day:
would you please remove your time's up icon? i mean…

stop. you can't support the time's up movement and do this at the same time, don't pretend he's not abusive. shame on you, nina.

Twitter user @alohacella even went so far as to say, “just a quick reminder, since you’re such a supporter of the time’s up movement,” followed by four pictures of the 31-year-old Aquaman actress, bruised and/or crying reportedly because of what happened at the hands of the 54-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star.
Last month, one day after Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling each released statements that defended their decision to cast Johnny in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Amber fired back at those who were in support of her ex:
For the record, this was our FULL joint statement. To pick&choose certain lines & quote them out of context, is not right.Women, stay strong. pic.twitter.com/W7Tt6A3ROj

We’re guessing Amber will definitely have some thoughts about Nina posing with JD…
