Congratulations! Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s First Baby was Born
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are PARENTS! E! News confirms that the Twilight actress gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl named Bodhi Soleil, on July 25, 2017, making her already over two weeks old. The 29-year-old confirmed that the pair didn’t find out the sex of their bundle of joy while she was pregnant, because “it’s the greatest and only true surprise of your life.”
The brunette beauty recently appeared on the cover of Fit Pregnancy & Baby magazine, where she revealed that she and her 38-year-old husband planned to go completely off the grid once their child was born.
“We’ll take the baby’s first month for ourselves,” she said. “After the baby arrives, we’re doing one month of silence. Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate. You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present.”
The Vampire Diaries actor married the Sleepy Hollow star in 2015 and the couple announced that they were expecting in May 2017.
“To our friends, family, and rest of the world,” Ian captioned a picture kissing his wife’s baby bump. “In my 38 years on this earth I’ve never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this. I can’t think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast…because that’s what they do, they grow so fast. Thank you for your kind energy.”
Nikki, at the time, shared the same picture and wrote, “I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it’s the strongest feeling I’ve ever felt. We’ve been sharing this body for quite some time, and we’ve already experienced so much together. We can’t wait to meet you.”
Congratulations to the new parents!
