Nicki Minaj Tweets Shady Message Shortly After Taylor Swift Drops Song

Today, everything is about Taylor Swift. The 27-year-old released “Look What You Made Me Do,” the first single from the upcoming album Reputation, late last night. While most people are #living for the blonde’s comeback track, others aren’t really here for the electronic vibes of the tune. And although the girls are seemingly friends again, Nicki Minaj seems to fall into the latter category.

Shortly after “LWYMMD” came out, the 34-year-old tweeted Kendrick Lamar lyrics that have us scratching our heads.

“N***a sit down. Be humble,” she wrote on Twitter in the early hours of the morning.

The line comes from the 30-year-old’s single, “Humble,” and fans think the timing is a little too strange to be pure coincidence.

Tay and Nicki used to be friends, but then they got into a fight after the blonde thought the rapper shaded her over getting nominated for Video of the Year at the 2015 MTV VMAs.

“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” NM wrote on Twitter.

T.Swift replied, “I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..”

Nicki eventually clarified that she wasn’t referring to Tay, which led to the “LWYMMD” singer issuing an apology and an invite for the rapper to join her on stage if she won the award.

The girls ended up performing “The Night is Still Young” and “Bad Blood” together at the awards show, seemingly ending their beef for good.
