Nicki Minaj Launches Merchandise Inspired by Infamous Fight with Cardi B
It was the shoe-throw heard around the world. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj got into a heated fight at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party in early September, which quickly turned violent and left the 25-year-old with a giant welt above her eye. While the 35-year-old was the target of Cardi’s flying heel at the event, she’s now turning it into profit by making merchandise inspired by the brawl!
The “Chun-Li” rapper revealed a brand-new pink backpack printed with the words “Nicki Stopped My Bag,” which fans can now buy from her official merch site.
The phrase on the bag comes directly from what Cardi said on Instagram after the brawl happened — “I’ve let a lot of sh*t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f*ck the way I eat!”
This phrase basically refers to someone stopping someone else from making money, which is the opposite of the slang phrase “securing the bag.”
While Cardi was obviously mad at Nicki for allegedly stopping her bags, she was really pushed over the edge when the rap legend came for her parenting skills.
“But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f*cking off!!” CB continued in her IG rant.
Interestingly enough, Nicki decided to drop this new piece of merch just a week after Cardi was spotted hanging out with NM’s ex-fiancé Meek Mill at Billboard‘s 2018 R&B Hip Hop Power Players party in NYC. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
