Harry Styles Mourning the Loss of Friend Who Died in Tragic Plane Crash

By  |

Death is never easy to deal with, but when someone passes in a tragedy, it’s even more difficult. Many celebrities unfortunately know what it’s like to lose their best friend, and while Harry Styles isn’t necessarily mourning his best friend, the death that just happened definitely affected him greatly.

Nick Jefferies, a close friend of the Styles family and the father of his old classmate, unfortunately passed away in a plane crash on Sunday. The 54-year-old pilot was flying to visit his son in South Wales with another young man, Scott Penlington, when something went wrong with his small Evektor EV-97 EuroStar aircraft and it plummeted into a field. Both men died in the wreck.

Harry grew up in the same village as the Jefferies family, and actually took Nick’s daughter Emilie as his date to his year 11 prom just months before he auditioned for The X-Factor. While the father of two obviously didn’t see the One Direction guy nearly as much as he once did, he still kept in touch and even gvae him flying lessons in the same exact plane that he passed away in just a year ago.

According to Daily Mail, while the 22-year-old hasn’t publicly spoken about Nick’s tragic death, he has already reached out to the Jefferies family to send his condolences.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the Jefferies family at this incredibly difficult time.
