Nicholas Hoult Cast in ‘Young Ones’ Dystopian Thriller

There’s no rest for this zombie. Hot off the release of Warm Bodies, Nicholas Hoult is lining up another project. And we’re not talking about X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Opposite Elle Fanning, Nick’s tapped for Young Ones, which takes place in a near-future where “humanity has violently turned on itself due to water quickly becoming one of the most limited resources on the planet… and will focus on a 14-year-old boy named Jake who must use his wits to survive.” ParaNorman‘s Kodi Smit-McPhee will presumably play said teenager.

Up next on Nick’s plate is Jack the Giant Slayer, in theaters on March 1. (So really no rest for him on the promotion front.) Then Mad Max: Fury Road, alongside Charlize Theron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoe Kravitz (again) and more, set for release sometime in 2014. And finally, the sequel to X-Men: First Class, with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence. So far, not too many details have been given for the film other than the combination of actors from both the original X-Men trilogy, starring Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, and its prequel, as well as this synopsis: “The X-Men must travel in time to change a major historical event that could globally impact on man and mutant kind.”

Which of Nick’s films is next on your must-see list? Have you seen Warm Bodies yet? Tell us all your Hoult-related thoughts in the comments!
