To All the Boys? Brace Yourselves for 9 Upcoming Netflix Rom-Coms
September 18, 2018
In case we haven’t mentioned it before (which we definitely have), Netflix has been KILLING it with the
romantic comedies this year. The Kissing Booth, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Sierra Burgess is a Loser — all of them were some of the most popular (or, at the very least, highly talked about) movies of 2018! (You can thank Noah Centineo for two of ’em.)
So, what’s next? Well, friends, we just so happened to find NINE upcoming Netflix rom-coms. We can’t guarantee that they’ll live up to
To All the Boys‘ status (’cause they felt the need to cast people other than Noah for some reason), but they’re sure to fill at least some of the void:

. The Last Summer
KJ Apa, Maia Mitchell, Tyler Posey, Halston Sage, Jacob Latimore, Sosie Bacon, Gage Golightly, Greer Grammer — SO many of your Young Hollywood faves are in this flick, so we're sure it's not one to miss (especially since KJ and Maia play love interests, squee)!

Sometimes, the only thing that can get you through a tough breakup is the help of your best friends.
Gina Rodriguez's character learns that in Netflix's Someone Great. After suffering from a devastating split, she decides to seek adventure in NYC with her two besties, played by Brittany Snow and DeWanda Wise, before she moves all the way across the country for her dream job.
So far, no release date's been provided, but Gina posted a picture of herself with her on-screen pals on Instagram, along with the caption, "We all up in your algorithm!
Someone Great, hitting Netflix when you least expect it." Can't wait!

Never would we ever have thought that we'd need a rom-com featuring
Jennifer Aniston & Dove Cameron... but we definitely do need it now that we've heard about Netflix's Dumplin'!
The story goes as follows: Willowdean (a.k.a. Dumplin'), portrayed by
Danielle Macdonald, the plus-size teenage daughter of a former beauty queen (portrayed by Jennifer Aniston), signs up for her mom's Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant as a means of protest. Something tells us this is the anti- Insatiable we've been looking for!

Always Be My Maybe
Randall Park and Ali Wong team up, you KNOW it's gonna be good.
In the tale of Netflix's
Always Be My Maybe, a pair of childhood friends, portrayed by the aforementioned pair, have a falling out. 15 years later, the two run into each other and, as you can expect from any rom-com, fall for each other as grownups.

The Princess Switch
The holiday season is one of our favorite times of the year because that's when Lifetime, Hallmark and, more recently, Netflix release all of their so-awful-they're-AMAZING Christmas flicks. This holiday season is no different. On the list of Netflix's upcoming Xmas-themed rom-coms is
The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens.
Netflix itself, The Princess Switch is "a rom-com about a Duchess & a commoner who swap places after discovering they look exactly alike! But things get complicated when they each fall in love with a man who doesn't know their true identity."

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding
The 2017 film
A Christmas Prince was bad; like, absolutely terrible. And yet, we watched it a minimum of 10 times. What can we say? It's a total guilty pleasure!
That's why we're so happy to see that
Rose McIver and Ben Lamb are headed back to the small screen for the holiday sequel. Step aside, Prince Harry and Duchess Megham — we've got another Royal Wedding to plan for now!

Kat Graham is starring in a Netflix holiday movie! Soon, you'll be able to watch as the Vampire Diaries alum's character inherits a magical advent calendar from her deceased grandmother that seems to predict her future... and points the way to a new romance! Guess the magic is never too far away when it comes to KG.

Christmas in the Wild
Rounding out the list of upcoming Netflix rom-coms is another Christmas treat, featuring
Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe. In the film, the Sex and the City alum's character heads out on an African safari after her husband leaves her high and dry. There, she attempts to find a new purpose in her life... and something tells us she totally does!
