Seeing as the Blue-ray/DVD is out rightthissecond, we thought it would be appropriate to chat with Neil about his experience filming Divergent, his thoughts on what has been happening with Insurgent (including Shai’s new ‘do) and tons more!

Was there a particular scene that you loved but ended up getting cut from the film?
"We wouldn't have shot things if we didn't love them -- particularly Edward getting knifed in the eye, which was a great visceral, weird scene. I wanted it in there but you look at the whole scope of the move when you're editing, and it threw the trajectory of Tris' story off. On the other hand there are scenes in the movie that were cut out in the script phase that we fought to get put back in: the zip line scene and Christina being hung over the chasm. But overall I think we did pretty well packing it all in."Photo: Lionsgate
