6 Guys Who Wrote a Song About Their Famous Girlfriend Before They Broke Up
Besides being brothers and musicians, Joe and Nick Jonas have a lot in common. For starters, they always seem to write songs about their exes, which is quite understandable when you literally make a living for creating music. But in addition to penning tunes following a breakup, the two boys ALSO are inclined to create tunes about their girlfriends while they’re still together.
Joe and Nick have both showed their former flames love via song lyrics, but they’re not the only male artists who think the best way to say ‘I love you’ is through music. Yes, all of the following singers eventually broke up with the person they wrote the tune about, but hey — at least they have nice memories to look back on?
Nick Jonas & the Administration
Before Selena Gomez was on-again-off-again with Justin Bieber, she had her fair share of ups and downs with Nick Jonas. During one of their many reunions back in the late 2000s, the curly haired cutie released a song title "Rose Garden," that was quite obviously inspired by his famous GF. The lyrics read: "She was brought into this world, out of a beautiful mistake / when her mom was just a girl, and her daddy didn’t stay / she was working at age 9, at the flower shop in town / she was young, but not naive, always wise beyond her years." Nick confirmed that the track was "inspired by a true story," which makes sense seeing as Sel's mom had her when she was 16 and the actress was working since she was a small girl.
