11 Times Azealia Banks Went to Battle with Her Fellow Musicians
October 13, 2018
We don’t know about you, but every time we hear the words “celebrity beef,” our ears perk up
very quickly. As of the last few years, however, it seems like so much of this beef included none other than female rapper . Throughout the course of her career, the 27-year-old has feuded with basically Azealia Banks everyone, including her fellow musicians.
LBR, throwing subtle shade at someone is one thing, but coming for their appearance and
making fun of their culture is just wrong. Unfortunately, Azealia’s done this to several different celebs, and even if it happened years ago, we still can’t stop thinking about it! Wondering which musicians she’s thrown shade at, specifically? We’ve got ’em all right here!

When she called Nicki Minaj out MULTIPLE times
If you've been able to keep up with Azealia Banks' many feuds over the years, you've probably heard
Nicki Minaj's name come up more than a few times. Well, that's because AB has come for her on many different occasions.
Off the top of our heads, a few specific insults come to mind. Back in 2016, for example, Azealia took to Facebook to dish some shady advice to Nicki. She said, "Slim down a bit... Stop calling yourself the queen of rap. I don't understand why you are so impressed with yourself... In 2017 I hope you find some new inspiration and decrease your butt implants."
In our more recent memory, the 27-year-old came for the 35-year-old after watching the music video for her song, "Bed." She asked, "Why does nicki Minaj have to be so damn corny. Like sometimes it's just like sis !!!!! Find some art !!! Please !! Lol."
Unfortunately, those are just a few examples, but trust us when we say these girls do NOT get along.

When she called Cardi B illiterate
Cardi B took to social media to share with fans why she feels the need to discuss her money and success, Azealia had a ton to say. SHOCKER!
The "Anna Wintour" rapper flooded the comments of a repost of the original, saying, "Ewww. You're getting unfollowed for posting this illiterate untalented rat. This b*tch is not an artist if anyone needs to humble themselves. It's her."
Azealia rapper took things a step further by
insulting Cardi's appearance, saying, "She got her teeth done last year and they are already yellow... truest definition of take the girl out of the hood but can't take the hood out of the girl."She also called her a "caricature of a black woman."
These new insults come a year or so after Azealia referred to Cardi as a "poor man's Nicki Minaj," so you know the beef runs deep.

When she went on a racist rant against Zayn Malik
Of all the celebs Azealia's insulted in the past, the worst had to have been her
racist Twitter rant about Zayn Malik.
After watching the former One Direction singer's video for his song, "Like I Would," Azealia felt that he copied her style. Of course, this simply didn't fly with her, which was what prompted her to lash out on social media.
The rapper started the rant by saying, "Damn Zayn be mood boarding the f*ck out of me." Then, after ZM responded, the offensive tweets just kept on coming. Azealia referred to him as the N-word, the F-word, and some more elaborate insults specifically aimed at his ethnicity, which is obviously NEVER okay.

When she called Lana Del Rey a witch
Earlier this month,
Lana Del Rey took to Instagram to voice her political opinions and call out Kanye West. Of course, Azealia simply wasn't having it. The rapper clapped back at Lana on Twitter, calling Lana a "witch" and insisting that she apologizes to Kanye.
The following day, Lana responded with, "u know the addy. Pull up anytime. Say it to my face. But if I were you- I wouldn't." She then added, "I won’t not f*ck you the f*ck up. Period." Clearly, these two are engaged in a full-fledged feud, and LBR, Azealia
really doesn't need another one of those.

When she clapped back at Rihanna's anti-Trump rant
Rihanna and Azealia have a long history of beefing with each other, but one of their most memorable feuds happened when RiRi took to Twitter to share some of her thoughts about Donald Trump's immigration policies. After the Barbados-born singer called DJT an "immoral pig," Azealia, who's a known Trump supporter, clapped back with some major shade.
The rapper wrote, "No. this all stupid and wrong. Is she even American ???? Can she even vote?" She also revealed Rihanna's personal phone number, which is a HUGE violation of her privacy.

When she shot down Eminem for sexist lyrics

As you can tell, Azealia Banks has absolutely no problem calling other musicians out. However, one of the only times it was ever justified was when she came for
Eminem after he freestyled some extremely sexist lyrics.
Once AB heard the rap herself, she tweeted, "Making fun of a woman who was knocked out cold bc she was unable to defend herself. I have been a victim of domestic violence and it’s just not funny. PLUS: you go after unsuspecting women and use them as jokes in ur raps but I bet you'd NEVER press
Jay-Z in that way."
Well, she's not wrong!

When she called Macklemore misogynistic
If you've ever heard
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's song, "White Privilege II," you know it contains a bunch of lyrics that directly call out white artists, like Iggy Azalea and , for appropriating black culture. Miley Cyrus
Once Azealia Banks caught wind of the track, she had a lot to say. Specifically, she called him out for saying "sh*t black people have been saying for years." Also, she said that by him calling out Iggy and Miley, he was exercising another form of "super misogyny."

When she called Iggy Azalea out for cultural appropriation
Considering the fact that Azealia defended
Iggy Azalea against Macklemore's misogynistic lyrics, you'd think that maybe — just maybe — she'd have her back at other times, too. Unfortunately, it seems that no one is safe from the wrath of AB because, in 2016, she released a diss track all about the Aussie.
Prior to the track, Azealia accused the "Fancy" singer of cultural appropriation. Then, Iggy said in an interview that she "still hates" Azealia. Azealia responded by saying, "No one is talking about you so you choose to mention me... Wrong move hoe... Mentioning me is the only thing that will get you attention."
Then, she released the diss track, so it's safe to say these two will probably never resolve their issues.

When she slammed T.I. for dissing Donald Trump
T.I. referred to Trump as the "upper echelon of the scum of the earth" on Instagram, Azealia fired back. She wrote, "Someone PLEASE take the thesaurus away from t.i.... Real sweet coming from the guy who is 5'2", endorsed a runaway slave master, has multiple felony weapon convictions, let's his kids carry guns, and publicly threatens women with physical harm..... Real sweet." Wow... she's not bitter or anything.

When she came for Lil Kim's rap skills
Azealia Banks has been dissing celebs for
years. Back in 2012, for example, she shaded TF out of Lil Kim by saying that "everyone knows she doesn't write her own raps." Of course, this only ignited a long and bitter feud between the two rappers that Azealia later tried to put to rest.
In 2017, AB apologized, saying, "I wanted to make music with you for so many years Kim. Apologies if when I sent that verse you thought I was trying to write for you — I wasn't... I hope one day we can link in person and straighten things out because I was sooo confused and heartbroken when our collab fell thru."

When she called Angel Haze out for her song
Like many of the celebrities on this list,
Angel Haze is currently embroiled in a long and bitter feud with Azealia. So, how did it begin? Well, after Angel released her song, "New York," Azealia was not a fan.
"Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY.... DON'T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER," she tweeted.
Unfortunately, this simple tweet spiraled into an ugly back-and-forth battle between the two, starting with Angel taking shots at Azealia's skin tone and ending with the both of them releasing diss tracks about each other. Whoa.
