The 2012 Billboard Awards saw an incredible neon themed performance of ‘Boyfriend’ by Fan Favorite Justin Bieber.

The Biebs hit the stage with about a gillion backup dancers, and of course showcased his super sweet dance moves. Justin charmed the crowd in a neon yellow shirt and grey vest, and didn’t forget to throw in some signature hand grabs during the performance.

As promised, Katy Perry performed her new single, ‘Wide Awake’ at the 2012 Billboard Awards and Kelly Clarkson followed suit by singing her followup to ‘Stronger, ‘Dark Side.’

Katy Perry swung from the ceiling in a white ribbon swing, combining a cloud-themed aerial performance with her heartfelt ballad. ‘Wide Awake’ mirrors Katy’s life, in the song she sings about recovery, learning from your mistakes, and being “born again.” Clearly- in reference to breakup with husband Russell Brand. ‘Wide Awake’ is off her ‘Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection’ album, out now.

This 2012 Billboard Award winners were led by Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, and the biggest winners of the night with 2 awards were Party Rockers LMFAO! The star packed award show was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Kicking off the show with Top Social Artist was Justin Bieber, who proclaimed in his acceptance speech, “The Internet is where I got my start, and all my fans have helped me get to this position.” Well played Biebs! Next, Katy Perry accepted the Spotlight Award, and gave an adorable shout out to her Grandma in her speech, “I can’t wait to go do shots with you after this!”

One-third of the legendary group the Bee Gees, Robin Gibb, dies at the age of 62.

Robin Gibb died in a London hospital after a battle with colon and liver cancer at the age of 62. Robin’s health problems began in August 2010 when he underwent emergency surgery to treat a blocked intestine. The same hereditary condition led to Robin’s twin brother Maurice Gibb’s death in January 2003. Robin was most recently hospitalized last month with pneumonia.

Robin’s family released a statement saying, “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery.”

Kanye West reveals the title of his highly-anticipated G.O.O.D. Music compilation album.

Kanye’s new album collection will be titled ‘Cruel Summer’ and it boasts contributions from Big Sean, Q-Tip, Kid Cudi, and Pusha T.

In addition to the album, Kanye will present his self-directed short film of the same name on May 23 at Cannes. According to NBC Chicago Kanye ensures, “…a fusion of short film and art installation” and an “immersive seven-screen experience.” WOW we can’t wait for more details on that!
