Paramount Pictures wants us all to know who exactly General Aladeen is in their upcoming The Dictator, set to hit theaters May 16th and they’ve revealed the first five minutes of the film just so we get a better sense of who Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing.  The film co-stars Anna Faris, John C. Reilly, Ben Kingsley and Megan Fox.

The Avengers is officially one month away and to celebrate, Marvel has released the first clip from the film.  The clip features Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow taking a call from Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson while being held hostage by some Russian gangsters.  We get to see more of her butt kicking prowess that we got a taste of in Iron Man 2.  In other Avengers news, Wyndham Rewards has launched their movie tie-in website HotelsAssemble.com which features wallpapers, games, a sweepstakes and more.  You can check out the new clip and wallpapers below.

Sony Pictures has released the first clip for its much anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man via the film’s recently launched viral site, Mark of the Spider-Man.  The clip, which was released over the weekend but has been subsequently removed, featured Andrew Garfield’s “Peter Parker” attempting to enter the building where his new love Gwen Stacy lives.  He is stopped by the building’s doorman, and looking suspicious trying to hide his Spider-Man costume in his bag, is denied entry.  This scene gives context to the scene at the beginning of the latest  trailer that showed Peter arriving at Gwen’s bedroom window and stating that he climbed 20 flights up the fire escape because her “doorman is intimidating”.  Check out the clip below …

Paramount Pictures has released five new clips from The Adventures of Tintin.  The film chronicles the escapades of a junior reporter who has a nose for a good story and a talent for attracting trouble, which more often than not imperils his life!  Steve Spielberg and Peter Jackson have selected three stories from the Tintin book series to develop into theatrical feature films, which they intend to direct back to back, employing state of the art performance capture technology.  U.S. audiences will have a chance to see the international hit for themselves when it hits theaters on December 21st.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as J. Edgar Hoover, the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years, he was feared and admired, reviled and revered.  But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life.  J. Edgar opens in theaters November 9th.

Glenn Close stars in this drama about a shy butler who has been hiding a deep secret for years – ‘he’ is a woman who has had to dress and behave as a man all her life in order to escape a life of despair.  Albert Nobbs opens in theaters January 27th, 2012.

Sony Pictures has released five new clips from their upcoming animated holiday film, Arthur Christmas.  The film takes us behind-the-scenes at the North Pole to discover the secrets of how Santa Claus is able to deliver presents to the world’s children in just one night.  Arthur Christmas opens in theaters November 23rd.

Check out three new clips from the upcoming The Muppets.  The film stars Jason Segal as a man who helps his best friend Walter reunite Kermit the Frog with the rest of the Muppets in order to save the Muppet Theater.

Relativity Media has released eight new clips from their upcoming action flick Immortals starring new “Superman” Henry Cavill along with Freida Pinto, Kellan Lutz, Mickey Rourke, Luke Evans, Stephen Dorff and John Hurt.  Immortals tells the story of legendary Theseus’ versus Hyperion to save all humanity.  The film hits theaters on November 11th.
