Nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2011 in five film and eight primetime television categories and for the SAG honors for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center’s SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood.  The Help lead the list with four nominations including a lead actress nom for Viola Davis, supporting actress noms for Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer and a nomination for Oustanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Other nominees included The Artist, The Descendants, Midnight in Paris and Bridesmaids.  The awards will be handed out on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 with a live broadcast on TNT …

With the release of J. Edgar, Leonardo DiCaprio is once again getting Oscar buzz for his portrayal of the former head of the F.B.I.  In honor of his new movie, we bring you our list of the best movies from his career.

Leonardo DiCaprio sat down to talk about his new movie ‘J. Edgar’, how J. Edgar Hoover’s mother Annie Hoover (played by Judi Dench) influenced his life, his compulsive outlook toward the men in his department, Hoover’s relationship with his secretary Helen Gandy (played by Naomi Watts), working with director Clint Eastwood, researching for the role and the tone of the film.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as J. Edgar Hoover, the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years, he was feared and admired, reviled and revered.  But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life.  J. Edgar opens in theaters November 9th.

Clint Eastwood’s J.
