New Year's Eve

The holiday movie season continues with two new movie opening in wide release today – New Year’s Eve and The Sitter.  The question is, can one of these new releases take down the reigning champion that is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1?

You may have barely gotten that Christmas tree up, but New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and we’re expecting the ensemble rom com, New Year’s Eve to bring home the big bucks at the box office.  With an all-star cast behind it and strong female audience appeal, we estimate it should take the top spot with $25 million.

The other wide opener this weekend, The Sitter, should take the second spot with an estimated $12 million.  …

Check out the video

It may not look like your typical Martin Scorcese film, but Hugo is getting a lot of buzz.   Based on Brian Selznick’s New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, the film stars Chloe Moretz, Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jude Law and tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station, who, with the help of an eccentric girl, searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key.
