‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1′ World Premiere Photos

The stars came out to celebrate the world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 last night in Los Angeles. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with fellow castmates strolled the black carpet before throngs of screaming fans before heading into see the movie on the big screen. The penultimate film in The Twilight Saga opens in theaters Friday, November 18th, 2011.

Stan Lee To Be Honored With Producers Guild Vanguard Award

Legendary comic book creator Stan Lee, responsible with helping to create some of the most iconic superheroes in history including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four and Iron Man will be honored with the Vanguard Award at the 23rd Annual Producer Guild Awards to be held January 21st, 2012 in Los Angeles.  Previous honorees include George Lucas, John Lasseter and YouTube founders Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Will Wright.

Morgan Freeman To Receive Cecil B. DeMille Award At Golden Globes

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced that legendary actor Morgan Freeman will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement at this year’s Golden Globes Awards.  Freeman made his first film in 1964 and has been nominated for five Academy Awards and five Golden Globes, including wins for 1989′s Driving Miss Daisy and 2005′s Million Dollar Baby.  The Golden Globe Awards will be presented live on Sunday, January 15th, 2012.

‘The Hunger Games’ Becomes Lionsgate’s Most Expensive Endeavor

In a recent interview, Lionsgate executives revealed that The Hunger Games is their most expensive film ever produced and following a slew of films they had hope had franchise potential failed to make a dent at the box office, the studio is relying on the film to be a success in order to pull them out of their slump.  Despite this pressure, Lionsgate is confident the film will be a huge success and will reach its goal of at least $100 million in tickets sales in order to assure the planned 3 or 4 films will happen.
