Taking a cue from the upcoming Star Wars: Epsiode I The Phantom Menace 3D, Marvel has revealed that special edition 3D glasses will be available for an extra $5 when The Avengers is released May 4th. Glasses inspired by some of the film’s characters include Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk. It is not clear if the glasses will be available for all 3D screenings or only during the film’s opening weekend like the Darth Maul glasses being offered at RealD 3D screenings of Star Wars 3D.
