Last week we were treated to a ten second teaser of what we came to learn would be a Super Bowl ad for Honda featuring Matthew Broderick reprising his iconic “Ferris Bueller” role. We now are getting a full look at the trailer and we’ve discovered that Broderick is not in fact playing Bueller, but playing himself in many of the iconic scenes from the popular 80′s movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The spot takes us on a ride with Broderick who, like his alter ego Bueller, decides to take the day off and gets into some adventures not unlike those that Bueller took in the film. All this is done in his new Honda CR-V, which in the end, is what the ad is trying to push. Despite the lack of Ferris in the commercial, it still doesn’t keep us from wondering if that much talked about sequel will ever happen.
