Thanks to photographer Everhardt Strauss, we’re getting our first look at Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein’s monster in the upcoming film I, Frankenstein.  Eckhart plays “Adam” the monster created by Dr. Frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s classic novel who has survived centuries to find himself in an alternate present where he becomes stuck in the middle of a centuries old war between immortal clans.  The film co-star Bill Nighy and is set to hit theaters February 22nd, 2013.

Despite the secretive nature of director J.J. Abrams, even going so far as installing giant crates to keep out paparazzi, new photos have surfaces from the set of Star Trek 2.  The photos feature Zachary Quinto’s “Spock” donning an Iron Man style “Volcano Suit” to ascend into what is being described as a volcano (convenient, right?).  The film also stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Benedict Cumberbatch and is set to his theaters May 17th, 2013.  You can check out the photos below along with the previous set photos featuring Cumberbatch and Saldana.

Lots more from The Avengers today.  Marvel has released several new photos from their upcoming superhero film, including new pics of all the key members and behind the scene photos.  The Avengers hits theaters May 4th and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson.

Marvel has released several new photos from their upcoming The Avengers.  The batch includes a wide angle version of a photo we previously saw featuring Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow as well as photos of Bruce Banner, Thor, Nick Fury, Hawkeye and a closer look at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.  The Avengers opens May 4th and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson.

Things have been pretty quite on the set of Star Trek 2, with notoriously secretive director J.J. Abrams and his crew giving little details about the production.  When actor Benedict Cumberbatch was cast and rumors spread that he would be playing the villain of the film, Abrams would only say “who said he’s our villain” when asked about the role.  Despite Abrams’ denial, it looks like we are finally getting confirmation that Cumberbatch is in fact playing the villain of the film.  We have obtained the first official photos from the set and they show Cumberbatch in a hand-to-hand battle with Zachary Quinto’s “Spock” on what is being described as a “Space Barge”.  The scene shows each getting the upperhand …

Star Trek 2 is deep into production on the Paramount lot and writer/producer Robert Orci has provided us with our first look from the set.  Not only do we get a look at the cast and crew in action, we also are seeing someone on set we weren’t expecting to find – Leonard Nimoy.  Despite the fact that Nimoy reprised his role of “Spock” in the first film in an attempt to bridge the gap between the original series and films with this new reboot, nobody really expected to see any of the original cast members in the sequel.  That assumption appears to have been wrong with these new pics.  Check out the full gallery below and let us know …
