‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Extended Preview

Is you caught the premiere of America’s Got Talent last night, you were treated to a four minute preview of The Amazing Spider-Man that featured a clip of Spider-Man saving a boy from a fiery car that had been flung off a bridge by Lizard.  The preview also consisted of footage previously seen in the trailer that debuted in front of The Avengers.  If you missed it last night, or want to check it out again, you can watch it below.  The Amazing Spider-Man opens in theaters July 3rd.

New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer Debuts

Sony Pictures has released the third trailer for their upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man.  The trailer focuses mainly on Peter Parker’s journey to discover what happens to his parents and reveals a new mystery man and even suggest a possible change to the origin of his Spider-Man powers.  The film opens July 3rd and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and Denis Leary.

Lizard Dons Lab Coat In New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer

Director Marc Webb teased that Spider-Man fans would not be disappointed in the final product when criticism of a lab coat-less Lizard showed up in the last trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man.  It looks like we may not have to wait until July 3rd when the film hits theaters to see the infamous coat on the big screen as newly released photos from the film showing Lizard wearing his lab coat have been revealed in anticipation of the trailer that is set to go online later today and will appear before The Avengers this weekend.

Spider-Man Web Shooter Revealed Through Viral Site

A Spider-Man viral site called Mark of the Spider-Man was revealed in the last trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man and now a new viral site has emerged that has revealed blueprints and a video of Peter Parker’s Web Shooter designs.  The viral site Parker’s POV was recently discovered which led to the closer look at Spidey’s weapon of choice.  In the original Sam Raimi trilogy, Peter Parker’s webbing was part of his mutation from the radioactive spider bite, but Sony and director Marc Webb decided to change things up and follow more closely with the comics and have Parker develop the device that gave him his web power.  You can check out the photos of the shooter and video below.

New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Posters

Sony Pictures has released two new posters for their upcoming reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man.  The posters show the dark aspect of the film that we expect to see when it hits theaters on July 3rd.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field).  Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today.  Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.  As Peter …

Andrew Garfield hit up Ellen today to talk about his upcoming role as Peter Parker in the highly anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man.  He shared some thought about getting into the tight fitting costume as well as his reaction to fans of the franchise.  Ellen even gave him a present to help him with his upcoming role as a superstar.

New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Poster Featuring “Lizard”

Trend International has unveiled new posters for Sony Pictures upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, including a new look at the villainous Lizard.  There are also several featuring our favorite web crawler.  The posters will go on sale starting May 4th giving fans plenty of time to pick them up before the film’s July 3rd release.

First ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Clip Revealed

Sony Pictures has released the first clip for its much anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man via the film’s recently launched viral site, Mark of the Spider-Man.  The clip, which was released over the weekend but has been subsequently removed, featured Andrew Garfield’s “Peter Parker” attempting to enter the building where his new love Gwen Stacy lives.  He is stopped by the building’s doorman, and looking suspicious trying to hide his Spider-Man costume in his bag, is denied entry.  This scene gives context to the scene at the beginning of the latest  trailer that showed Peter arriving at Gwen’s bedroom window and stating that he climbed 20 flights up the fire escape because her “doorman is intimidating”.  Check out the clip below …

Lizard Revealed In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Toys & Halloween Costumes

We got our first look at Lizard in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, but most fans were disappointed that it was only quick shots of body parts and others shaded in mystery.  Now we are getting a better look at Spider-Man’s adversary via toys and Halloween costume tie-ins for the film.  Hasbro revealed several toys that will be released in conjunction with the film and Lizard was front and center at this year’s Toy Fair.  The figure gives us a detail look at what we can expect to see when the film hit’s theaters July 3rd.  There is also a version showing Lizard’s chameleon like abilities, but it’s not clear if he will possess these powers in the actual film.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Viral Site Discovered

If you were paying close enough attention to The Amazing Spider-Man, you just may have caught a clue to a viral site for the film.  During the end of the two and a half minute trailer, the image of the words “MARK OF THE SPIDER-MAN” appear in some CGI webbing.  The words lead fans to the film’s viral site which currently contains the Spider-Man logo and six static screens.  A look at the site’s code reveals the screens are marked as “cities”.  A spokesperson for Sony said they had no info on the site.  It’s clear with the buzz behind the new trailer and the launch of a viral campaign, Spider-Man is no longer the third wheel in the battle …
