WENNThings are happening so fast in the world of Shadowhunters. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones hits theaters in less than a month(!), the prequel, The Infernal Devices, already has a screenplay in the works, and there's fifth Shadowhunter book series in the future. Beside all that unbelievable news, we're starting to see the bones of movie sequel City of Ashes.

With an October start date for shooting planned, the creators of the franchise had to get a move on when it came to new casting. And it looks like that may've started as The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Sigourney Weaver's in negotiations for the film: "In one of the few new roles, the veteran actress will play the ruthless leader of the Shadowhunters who will stop at nothing to destroy the man who killed her son." (Also known as Inquisitor Imogen Herondale. Also known as — SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ AHEAD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW! — Jace's (Jamie Campbell Bower) grandmother.)

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is set to hit theaters Wednesday, August 21. Are you already looking forward to the sequel? What do you think of Sigourney playing Inquisitor Herondale? Go ahead, spill!
