Millie Bobby Brown is Youngest Person EVER Named on TIME 100 List

Millie Bobby Brown may only be 14, but if you’ve followed her skyrocketing career, you would know that the actress is definitely wise beyond her years. In fact, Millie just became the YOUNGEST person to be included on TIME‘s 100 Most Influential People list. However, it wasn’t just her role of Eleven on Stranger Things that got her onto this list.

Aside from being an incredible actress on screen, the young beauty is also a very socially-conscious teen off screen and her involvement in supporting movements like the American Civil Liberties Union, GLAAD and March for Our Lives took her stardom to a whole other level. And honestly, after learning all of that, it’s not surprising AT ALL that Millie was included on this list. It just goes to show that influence (and maturity) knows no age.

Like many others on this annual list, the Stranger Things actress’ tribute was written by her peer and adopted dad Aaron Paul. The Breaking Bad actor penned a sweet note where he recalled the time they first met and hung out and realized that Millie was not your average 12-year-old.

“The first time I met Millie Bobby Brown was inside an ice cream shop. My wife and I had superfanned her, like most of the public did when they first saw her onscreen in Stranger Things,” He wrote, “We asked if she wanted to meet up, and she said yes. We screamed. We picked a little ice cream shop in New York City, and then, suddenly, we were all together.”

The moment we started speaking, I realized we were in the wrong setting. I thought, oh, she’s 12, let’s get ice cream. No. She may have been 12 in years, but her spirit and mind were timeless. A wise woman was speaking from her cherubic face. It was like speaking to a future mentor with a perspective and groundedness that I could only have dreamed of at that age. Or at any age, if I’m being honest.

Maybe that’s why she’s such an extraordinary actor. She somehow understands the human experience as if she has lived it for a thousand years. I’m proud to know her. To call her a friend. To call her my adopted daughter.” Wasn’t that super sweet?!
