Millie Bobby Brown Skips 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards Due to Injury
If you saw pictures from the red carpet of the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards that filmed over the weekend, you probably noticed that Millie Bobby Brown was missing. Her Stranger Things co-stars, including Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink and Gaten Matarazzo, were all there, so where the heck was she?? Sadly, the 14-year-old had to skip the show because she split her kneecap and was ordered by doctors to rest.
MBB explained in an Instagram video, “Another milestone in my life — I’ve never actually broken a bone…except for now. I have split my kneecap so, from the doctor’s orders, he told me to rest up.”
Even though she couldn’t be there, she still sent her castmates well wishes before the big show.
“I hope that Finn, Gaten, Caleb, Sadie and Noah have the best time,” she said. “I love them so dearly and I wish them the best, and I’m sending my luck with you.”
BFF Sadie later told ET that the British actress “slipped,” which caused the injury.
“Unfortunately, she hurt her knee,” the 16-year-old revealed. “I think she slipped, it wasn’t on set but she fractured her knee. but she’s getting better.”
But even though Millie is currently dealing with an extremely painful injury, Finn assured everyone that “she’s in high spirits.”
Get better soon, MBB!
