Saturday marked a monumental occasion for Miley Cyrus — she turned the big 2-1! But, while we were busy celebrating with an in-depth look at her career timeline, the singer herself was taking it in with news of her burglarized home.

According to Us Weekly, the “We Can’t Stop” singer was the victim of a robbery just one day before her birthday: “She’s extremely upset and a lot of personal items were stolen, She’s really shaken up about the whole thing.”

So far, no one’s been linked to the incident, but the LAPD says this is an ongoing investigation. And, fortunately, no one was home at the time of the break-in.

In even better news, Miley stole the show at the 2013 American Music Awards with her latest rendition of “Wrecking Ball,” which involved a singing cat, natch. For all things MiCy, make sure to join the conversation in the comments below, or on our Miley Cyrus message board!
