Yikes, Miley Cyrus’ 2014 MTV VMA Date is Actually a Wanted Criminal!

No good deed goes unpunished. The latest news involving Miley Cyrus proves that. After winning the award for Video of the Year (“Wrecking Ball”) at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards this past weekend, the 21-year-old sent her date, Jesse Helt, a homeless 22-year-old, to accept in her place. He said at the time, “I am accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost, and scared for their lives right now. I know this because I am one of these people.”

The problem: There’s a warrant out for his arrest!

It’s being reported that he was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespassing and burglary back in 2010 and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation. The arrest warrant was issued in November 2011 after he violated probation.
