Fans Demand Refund After Miley Cyrus is a No-Show to Kiss 108 Jingle Ball 2013
Smilers are coming in like wrecking balls after their idol, Miley Cyrus, was forced to cancel her performance at Kiss 108 Jingle Ball in Boston last weekend.
Due to a snow storm that took over the East Coast, the 21-year-old singer was left stranded at an airport in New Jersey, thereby making it impossible for her to make it to the show. And fans are NOT having it. There's now a petition on Change.org that calls for a refund to the concert-goers who attended to see the "We Can't Stop" crooner. Petition creator Rich Nowak says, "I'm not sure who is to blame, but it sure isn't the attendees who paid good money to see Miley, the headlining act."
He continues, "My tickets were over $200 a piece. I already wrote to TicketMaster asking for a refund and their response was that refunds are up to the organizers, which in this case is Kiss 108, but that Kiss has no plans of refunding tickets at this time. I tried contacting Kiss directly via email, but haven't gotten any response… They are ignoring all social media inquiries on the subject of a refund. I think what we need to do is we need to DEMAND a refund. We paid to see Miley, who was headlining the show! If not a refund, then Kiss should organize a free Miley concert for Jingle Ball ticket holders."
"Kiss 108 needs to do something because we did not get what we paid for," he concludes. So far, nearly 200 people have signed on for the petition. What do you think, though? Should the fans get their money back? Or some sort of incentive? Or are their demands too outrageous? Weigh in via the comments below, or on our Miley Cyrus message board!
