Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato Reunited for the Best Reason & We’re Obsessed

It’s 2009 all over again! Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato reunited over the weekend, and our hearts are fuller than they’ve ever been. Though the former QUEENS of Disney Channel have done a lot of maturing over the years, they haven’t outgrown each other, as evidenced by one of the Hannah Montana alum’s latest tweets.

The 25-year-old blonde tweeted, “Been friends forever & happy to stand with you on important days like this!” along with a picture of herself and the 25-year-old Sonny with a Chance alum:

The “Malibu” singer and “Tell Me You Love Me” crooner both attended the March for Our Lives rally for gun control on March 24, 2018 in Washington, DC, which is where they met up for the first time in forever. Miley performed her 2009 song from the Hannah Montana: The Movie, “The Climb,” while Demi performed her 2011 single, “Skyscraper,” from her third studio album, Unbroken.

“I will never forget this moment,” Miley captioned a video of her performance on Twitter. “don’t forget this feeling of unity we had the joy of experiencing yesterday…they’ve tried to steal our ‘shine’ but it IS The Climb and yesterday we proved we’re family and we stick together when times are hard! We put a bandaid of HOPE on.. our open wounds , on all our hurt , anger and resentment….. it was a beautiful day to experience…. that stage had the most incredible view …. felt like I was looking at an infinite rainbow! We’ve definitely felt the rain but the sun is coming out! ❤️❤️❤️”
