8 Times Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato Battled it Out with Each Other
Today is finally here! After months of waiting, we finally get to listen to not one, but TWO amazing new albums from Disney Channel alums. Miley Cyrus‘ Younger Now and Demi Lovato‘s Tell Me You Love Me are both now available and we are so excited for our playlists to get a massive upgrade.
When we first found out that both former DC employees were releasing their brand-new albums on the same day, we were pretty freakin’ surprised. As crazy as as it is that the former besties chose to put out new music today, of all days, it’s not like it’s the first time they’ve had to battle it out. Miley and Demi, along with Selena Gomez, were basically the royal family of Disney Channel throughout the late 2000s, so they were often pitted against in each other in a variety of ways. They were compared to each other SO much that sometimes the stress got to them, ultimately causing drama that still makes us cringe to this day.
Who could forget the iconic YouTube feud where MiCy and then-BBF Mandy Jiroux totally mocked one of Demi and Selena’s videos?! Or when everyone was constantly wondering which Jonas Brother was dating which actress? Good freakin’ times.
We’re sure the girls were less than thrilled when realized they were putting out albums on the day day…or perhaps they PLANNED the whole thing to see who would actually be the victor. MUAHAHHAHAH! Too far? Okay.
As we wait to see which singer will come out on top with their latest CD, we decided to take a look back and round up all the times that Miley and Demi have battled in out in the past, whether it was in the form of a public diss, or something a little more ~sneaky~.
When their albums came out on the same day.
Both of these incredible artists have had an extremely tough past few years, and their journey is documented on their upcoming albums. We are huge fans of both Demi and Miley and will be rooting for both of them to succeed, but we're already nervous for tomorrow to see which girl grabs the top spot. Will it be DL's Tell Me You Love Me or MC's Younger Now? Only time will tell!
