Divergent Actor’s Truck Flips Over in Scary Car Accident That Left Two Injured
Ugh, this sucks. On Thursday, December 22, Miles Teller, along with his longtime girlfriend, Keleigh Sperry, was involved in a scary car accident that left two injured.
According to TMZ, the 29-year-old actor, known for his roles in the Divergent franchise, The Spectacular Now, Whiplash and last year’s Fantastic Four reboot, was driving late at night in the San Fernando Valley when an Uber driver made a left turn in front of him, causing his Bronco truck to flip over.
“You f*cked up my truck,” Miles reportedly exclaimed after he escaped his side-turned vehicle. He was furious about the events (not that we blame him), but he’s said to be unharmed. The two passengers in the Uber vehicle, however, were taken to the hospital via ambulance; they supposedly sustained minor injuries.
The report also claims that the accident was not considered to be Miles’ fault, and no alcohol or drugs were involved, so we guess that’s somethin’.
Though he left the incident relatively unscathed, the talented star was once involved in a life-threatening accident. When Miles was 20, he was involved in a serious car crash with a group of friends. He ended up flying out of the window, just after the car flipped EIGHT times. He was lucky to have come away from all of that with a bad shoulder injury, a broken wrist and scars on his face.
It’s a shame all these movie sequels, like Allegiant, didn’t live up to the original:
As the third installment in the massively successful Divergent series, Allegiant has made quite a bad name for itself. Not only did it make the least amount of money at the box office, but it didn't even make HALF of what the original did, garnering $66,184,051 compared to Divergent's $150,947,895. The movie did so poorly that Lionsgate had a decrease in stocks and caused a massive downturn in the Ascendant movie budget.
