The First Trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure is Finally Here!
Whether or not you can believe it, it’s been a year and a half since production first began on Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the third & final movie in the Dylan O’Brien-led film trilogy. One point five years — that’s nuts! Of course, we’re all aware of the reason behind in the delay: Mere days after shooting began on the project, Dylan suffered “severe injuries” on the Vancouver set; injuries that ranged from “multiple broken bones” to a “concussion, facial fracture and lacerations.”
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old actor pulled through, wrapping up the franchise in time for an early 2018 release. (The original release was scheduled for February 17, 2017.) Yes, we know that’s still four months away… but it could’ve been worse; it could’ve never happened at all!
Thankfully, you don’t have to spend the next 120 days moping around, wondering when you’ll get to see Dylly Bear back in action (especially since Teen Wolf ended tonight). During the series finale of his his MTV show, the first trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure aired! And, let us say, it looks cah-RAZY.
Here’s the premise: In the conclusion to the Maze Runner trilogy, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
The one minute and eight seconds worth of footage features all of your favorites from the gang, including Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Rosa Salazar, plus some DO’B moves quite reminiscent of his moves in this year’s American Assassin.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is scheduled to hit theaters on January 26, 2018. Until then, watch the first, full-length trailer here:
