Congratulations! Matthew Morrison Welcomes First Child with Wife Renee
There’s a new Glee baby in the world!
Over the weekend, our beloved Mr. Will Schuester (a.k.a. Matthew Morrison) welcomed his first child with his wife, Renee Puente.
The 38-year-old former-boy-bander took to Instagram to announced the news on Sunday, October 22, saying, “To my Newborn Child, Revel James Makai Morrison: Your Mama and Papa got this!! Trust in us to guide and protect you always. To lay the tracks so your choo choo train will run smoothly throughout this world🚂. You will have all the tools to soar! We love you, and are so thankful for your arrival! The adventures are just beginning… 📸: @isaaccohenphotography”
The Broadway alum and his 33-year-old love revealed that they were expecting their bundle of joy in May of this year, saying, “Our #MorrisonAdventures have been so epic together, but they have only just begun!! We will have a new addition to the family and I’m blown away by the unconditional love that I already possess for this child. I have such a clear vision of the Father that I want to be, but the perfection lies in the balance and teamwork that Renee and I have cultivated. Now, we simply wait with open arms…. Thank you @noelmaitland and @isaaccohenphotography for this awesome video!”
The pair’s love story reportedly began in June 2011, when Matt was still starring on the hit Fox musical dramedy. The two got engaged two years later, in June 2013, and walked down the aisle a little over a year after that, in October 2014.
We wish the beautiful couple nothing but the best as they embark on the next phase of their journey. Congrats!
Unlike Matthew, these Glee stars waited until AFTER the show ended to get married:
The woman who brought Quinn Fabray to life on the small screen throughout the series' duration kept a relatively low profile when it came to her relationships (apart from when she dated I Am Number Four co-star Alex Pettyfer; she prob learned her lesson from that whole debacle). So, when word got out that she was engaged, people were shocked, especially since she only started dating her now-husband, Winston Marshall, in July 2015.
The 30-year-old actress and 28-year-old Mumford & Sons banjoist got engaged over the 2015 holidays, but the public didn't find out until late January 2016. And things moved quickly after that, as they tied the knot on October 15, 2016.
