WTF!? One of These Gay YouTube Couples Suddenly Calls it Quits
Can’t say we didn’t see this one coming. Gay YouTube star Matthew Lush started a contest called ‘MY GAY ONLINE BOYFRIEND 2’ at the beginning of October where a slew of eligible bachelors competed for his affection. The winner, Daniel Perez, flew out to LA at the end of the month so he could spend time with the YouTuber in person, but just a couple weeks later, they decided to go their separate ways.
“Daniel and I did not work out. ‘My Gay Online Boyfriend’ was meant to be for fun; it was meant to be entertaining for you guys,” the 28-year-old said. “It just sucks because Daniel came here and I had to watch him fall deeper and deeper in love with me and it was so painful to watch… Yes, I was in lust with him. Yes I really, really liked him, but it never clicked. I never fell in love with him. He was a great guy — he was the whole package. He was everything I wanted. But it just didn’t click. The love just was not there.”
Matt’s emotions made him “feel like a piece of s*it,” especially since Daniel obviously had very different feelings.
“I give my heart so fast and I’m so easy to accept the idea of loving someone so fast,” the contest winner said in his own video. “I’m so open to the opportunity to taking a risk in life, and unfortunately sometimes that can be my biggest downfall.”
While Daniel was obviously very upset at the time of the breakup, he knows that everything happens for a reason and sometimes things just don’t “click.”
