The 100 Actress Marie Avgeropoulos Charged with Felony Domestic Violence
Marie Avgeropoulos was arrested about a month ago for allegedly physically attacking her boyfriend during an argument. When authorities arrived, the victim reportedly “had marks on his body” and, as a result, the 100 actress was taken to jail. TMZ now reports that the 32-year-old has officially been charged with felony domestic violence.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the brunette was hit with one count of felony corporal injury to a spouse and is set to be arraigned at some point today. If she’s convicted, she could spend up to four years in prison.
Marie’s boyfriend was reportedly shocked that cops arrested her and simply thought they would “diffuse the situation” upon arrival, not take her to jail. He apparently “begged cops not to take her away” and posted the $50,000 bond so she could be released after her initial arrest. He apparently did not want to press charges initially, but clearly that philosophy changed at some point within the last month.
A source close to Marie allegedly told TMZ she was on a new medication and had wine at dinner on the evening of the altercation, which “resulted in a bad reaction” and caused the violent outburst.
Marie has not been active on social media since before the incident.
