Mac Miller Arrested One Week After Breakup with Ariana Grande
Things are definitely not going ~the way~ Mac Miller wants this month.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old rapper was arrested after allegedly crashing his G-Wagon in the San Fernando Valley late last night into a pole, knocking it down, then fleeing the scene.
One witness reportedly told the cops that the “Dang!” crooner, and his two passengers, fled on foot. Unfortunately for MM, law enforcement tracked him down by running his plates. When they went to his home, Mac reportedly confessed to drinking & driving, as well as running away after.
“He was the most polite and nice intoxicated person we’ve ever seen,” one police officer claims.
Following the events, Mac was taken into custody and reportedly charged with a DUI and hit-and-run. His bail was set at $15,000.
This news comes one week after Mac (real name Malcolm James McCormick) and longtime girlfriend Ariana Grande called it quits. TMZ broke the news on May 9, saying, “Ariana and Mac quietly cut off their romantic relationship after their work schedules became too busy, but they’ve remained best friends since then… as always.”
The 24-year-old “No Tears Left to Cry” singer seemingly confirmed the breakup the following day, posting a picture of the two of them on Instagram, along with the words, “Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick. I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”
“Unconditional love is not selfish,” she continued. “It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it’s not you. I can’t wait to know and support you forever and I’m so proud of you!!”
Weirdly, though, days later, the two unfollowed each other on the same social media platform.
