Lynn Cohen Confirmed to Play Mags in ‘The Hunger Games’ Sequel, ‘Catching Fire’
In real life, Lynne is a seasoned actress who has experience mostly in theatre but was also featured on Sex and the City as Miranda’s nanny, Magda. Remember her?! Mags is the character that volunteers to take Johanna’s place in The Hunger Games although she’s elderly and clearly is the weakest competitor. By taking just one glance at Lynn’s sweet face, we already know that we’re going to absolutely fall in love with her character. Ugh, if only this movie was being released sooner than November 2013.
Although Lynn has not yet released a statement, we’re sure she’s just as excited as Jena Malone is to play Johanna, who told E!:
“I’m super excited! I read the whole series over a weekend when I had a wisdom tooth out. I was in bed looking for something to read and my little sister recommended it like a year and a half ago, so she was like, ‘You have to read it! You have to read it!’ And so I’m glad I finally did and I loved it.”
