One of Your Fave Gay YouTube Couples Broke Up MONTHS Ago & You Had No Idea

PLEASE DON’T LET SEPTEMBER BE ANOTHER MAY! Four months ago, gay YouTubers Shannon Beveridge & Camden Scott and Ally Hills and Stevie Boebi all announced their breakups, and Bria Kam and Chrissy Chambers went on a brief break, making it the worst month in the YT-relationship world. Things were pretty quiet on the breakup front throughout the summer, but then Davey Wavey revealed that he’s single less than two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the breakup trend is still going strong — Lucy Sutcliffe and Kaelyn Petras are no more.

“We realized that we have grown apart and our personalities were very different and how we handle emotions was very different, and so probably a month and a half ago, we decided to break up,” Kaelyn somberly said in a video titled, “The End.”

Lucy and Kaelyn’s love story is pretty unique. The girls met on Tumblr back in June 2006, and despite living in the UK and America respectively, started a long-distance relationship fairly quickly. After living apart for four years, the 23-year-old decided to make the move to Arizona where the 28-year-old was based in August 2014.

As for the future of the Kaelyn and Lucy channel, the Brit says she “would love to still continue” making videos, but Kaelyn is going to be “taking a step back from the Internet.”

Yes, the split is obviously very sad for the girls and their fans, but Lucy wants everyone to remember that they “had a really good run.” UGHHHHHHH!

Kaelyn and Lucy met because of Tumblr, but these couples met because of YouTube:
