Lucy Hale is “Thankful to be Safe” After Her Home Was Burglarized
Celebrities rarely get to keep things private, which is why it’s sick to think about how many stars also have to deal with the ultimate invasion of privacy — a home burglary. Several of your favorite female stars, including Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Rihanna, all had their homes broken into in the past, and now Lucy Hale unfortunately can be added to that list, too.
TMZ reports that the Pretty Little Liars alum’s Los Angeles home was broken into and burglarized on Friday morning. The perpetrator was able to enter the house through a smashed window and allegedly got away with over $15,000 worth of items, including purses and jewelry.
While the home invasion is obviously horrible and incredibly scary, the silver lining is that the 28-year-old wasn’t home at the time and no one was harmed.
The actress tweeted yesterday, “Thanks for all the kind words about my house. Luckily no one was hurt. Sad to lose some sentimental items, but thankful to be safe.”

Lucy apparently was not specifically targeted, but rather the victim of a random hit. But the timing of the incident is pretty strange. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards‘ home was broken into just weeks ago. Mariah Carey had burglars steal $50,000 worth of items from her house in October. And Hilary Duff dealt with a similar situation over the summer.
We are so glad that LH wasn’t home at the time of the burglary and that no one was hurt as a result. Hopefully authorities will be able to figure out who did this so that justice can be served in a timely manner.
