Louis Tomlinson Donates $10,000 to Help Young Fan Who Has Cerebral Palsy

Louis Tomlinson always had a soft spot for children, growing up with seven younger siblings and becoming a dad to a son named Freddie in January 2016. So when he heard about a 9-year-old fan named Rylee Sanford who has cerebral palsy and needs money to get surgery that could possibly help her walk, he jumped into action. The 26-year-old donated $10,000 to the little girl’s medical fund and wrote on her YouCaring page, “Sending you all the love! Louis x”

He also followed Rylee’s older sister, Makayley Sanford, on Twitter, in what appears to be an attempt to stay in the loop about what’s going on with Rylee’s treatments. The girl tweeted Louis an incredible thank-you message that included details about what his general donation will provide.

She wrote, “THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You just made it possible for us to get a wheelchair and possibly get Rylee the surgery she needs to walk. This is absolutely amazing, and we could never thank you enough for this. We love you, and hope you a have a great day!!”

“We are forever grateful for the 1d members and fans,” Rylee’s mom, Lisa, posted on the charity page. “We can never thank everyone enough for the donations and shares. All this is for Rylee… The journey to give this little girl the best life possible.”

The Sanford family is hoping to raise $15,000 and so far has just under $12,500.
